Love List (30) - October 14, 2014

It's been way too long.

I can't promise reviews while I'm in school, but I will try to keep up with the love lists, because they're so much fun and you can basically keep up with what I'm reading that way.

I worked at a book signing for Veronica Roth and Tahereh Mafi today; they were wonderful and it was a blast. *insert smile emoji*

Love ...
Veronica Roth and Tahereh Mafi.
Meeting so many sweet people today.
The person who gave me a cookie.
Shatter Me & Divergent (in case you didn't already know).
Shake It Off by Taylor Swift (this needs to be near the top).
Throne of Glass.
Crown of Midnight.
My new Olaf plushie that I bought at the signing today.
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.
People that help you - whether they go the extra mile or not.
Not knowing exactly what I'm going to do in the future.
Having options.
Heroes of Olympus.
Camp Halfblood camp t-shirt.

I'm sure there's more ... there's always more, but I'm so wiped from having too much fun at the book signing (I was energy in Terri form) that it's time for sleep.

Love,
Terri

Not Your Usual Love List (28) - March 14, 2014

Hi,

It's been a while and it's going to be a while longer.

I miss Read & Riot every day, but I can acknowledge that school is a priority for me right now.

I'm thankful for all the opportunities that Read & Riot has given me, for all the people I've met, friends (family) I've made, all the books I wouldn't have otherwise read and have fallen in love with.

I'm still reading, but an English student now, so I'm reading what they tell me to.  (Man, I love Shakespeare).

I don't have time right now to devote to Read & Riot and it kills me, because I miss it every day.  Very much.

Honestly, I can't wait to come back.

These are the books on my I Need to Read You Immediately After Exams What Do You Mean Exams Aren't Over Yet? list:

  • 60 pages left of Unbreakable by Kami Garcia!!!
  • Allegiant by Veronica Roth (I have two copies and they stare at me every day)
  • The Unbound by Victoria Schwab
  • Salem's Lot by Stephen King (I made a deal)
  • Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
  • The Runaway King & The Shadow Throne by Susan Nielsen (Just give me two days and I will devour the rest of this trilogy)
  • A Dance with Dragons by George RR Martin

The Love List you were expecting?

Well, it's books, friends, opportunities, reading, twitter, bloggers, used books, book signings, BEA ... Everything that Read & Riot has given to me and what's still to come.  (Oh, and school might actually make it on this list ... I'm still deciding).  I also love bookstores.  I don't think that can be said enough.

Thank you for being here and thanks for waiting.

Love,
Terri

Love List (27) - January 14, 2014

I missed the Christmas version of my love list.  (I blame exams and holiday retail).  So, this one's a little late:

Rainbow Loom.
Seriously, love my Rainbow Loom.
Christmas.
Four Brothers.
Christmas trees.
Dala.
Colton Haynes.
The "19 You & Me" cover by New Heights and Colton Haynes.
Teen Wolf marathons.
When you actually find time to read a book for pleasure during the school year.  (It's RARE).
Successfully find books on my own in a library.
Christmas lights.
The fact that I enjoyed the books I took out for research so much that I want to own them.
That there are a large amount of Harry Potter related books in the school library.
Hamlet.
Pillsbury Christmas cookies.
Our annual Christmas party.
THIS Christmas.
Warm days when you expect it to be cold.
Planning trips and remembering the old ones.
Hard work paying off.
